Wenig Family descendents

I'm looking for information on early Wenig family members arriving in l853 from Germany settling first in Dubuque, IA - then Dorchester, IA and Waterloo Township. Jacob attended Galena College in Illinois then went to New Albin, IA then to Inwood, IA in Lyon Co. I understand that the original family farm is still being worked by members of the family.
