Mary DeSmet and Isadore Wyffels were married on May 22, 1896 in Rock Valley, Sioux County, Iowa. On the marriage record, her parents are listed as John DeSmet and Sophia Van DeMoore. However, her parents appear to be John DeSmet // Joannes Bernardus DeSmet (Born 13 Feb 1848 in Sint Laureijns, Belgium and Died 13 Mar 1921 in Rock Valley, Sioux County, Iowa) - confirmed by obituary in the Rock Valley Bee on March 18, 1921. Her mother was Clementia Francisca Versnick (Born September 15, 1857 in Easburg, Holland and Died 14 Dec 1931 in Rock Valley, Sioux, Iowa) - confirmed by obituary in the the Rock Valley Bee on December 25, 1931. Both obituaries mention their predeceased daughter, Mary Wyffels.
