Marriage Information

Elmer Dobson and Edna Basye(this name of often mispelled), Were supposed to have been married in Rock Rapids On December 31, 1897 or somewhere around that year. I am trying to confirm this. I did get information from Diane Johnson that Edna's father AA Basye(Basey) was in the American Legion Post (Dunlap) date May 28,1904.
Can anyone help.
