Cecil Edmondson, a well known resident of Muscatine, and a former resident of this county, died in a sanitarium at Ottawa, Ill., at 10:30 o'clock last Thursday night. Death was not unexpected, as he had been in failing health for some time and the trip to the Illinois hospital recently, was made in an effort to recuperate. A complication of ailments is assigned as the cause of death. He had attained the age of 32 years and had been employed in the Muscatine ticket office of the Davenport & Muscatine railway.

Mr. Edmondson was born in Columbus Junction and spent the early part of his life there. He went to Muscatine about 13 years ago and had resided there since. To survive him he leaves his mother and the following brothers and sisters: Miss Mable Edmondson, at home. Mrs. Edith Armbright of Muscatine, Mrs. Rose Keith of Hannibal, Mo., and brothers Duane, Ora, Robert, Haddle and Alwin Edmondson, all of Muscatine. The remains arrived in Muscatine Friday evening from Ottawa and the funeral services were held at Muscatine on Sunday and the remains were then taken to Columbus Junction for burial.
