George Washington Hall, at one time a wealthy farmer, died at his home in Columbus City, Monday at 12 o'clock. Mr. Hall had been a sufferer with cancer on his neck for more than five years and it finally caused his death. He resided for more than fifty years in Union township, where he was one of the largest land owners. He was born in North Carolina about 84 years ago. He was married to Miss Flex, who survives him. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home in Columbus City and was in charge of Rev. W. M. Cozad of the United Brethren church. Interment in the Tennessee cemetery.
