Cynthia Robbins Huff was born near Wooster, Ohio, Dec. 28, 1828 and died in Wapello Monday morning Aug. 26, 1912, aged 83 years, 7 months and 29 days. Mrs. Huff was married to John Huff on Aug. 23, 1852 in Wooster, Ohio and they immediately came to Iowa and located at Grandview, and lived there until 1891 when they came to Wapello. They had two daughters who grew to womanhood in this county, but both of the daughters and the husband departed their lives several years ago.

Mrs. Huff was well known by the older citizens of Wapello. She was a member of the Church of God, having been converted while quite young, and has always been a consistent christian. Of late years her residence was in Letts, Iowa and St. Joseph, Mo. Her husband and oldest daughter both died while they lived in St. Joseph. She lived a long life and it was filled with good deeds. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Episcopal church in Wapello Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Swank and Rev. Wilson, pastors of the Church of God. Interment was made in the Wapello cemetery.
