Page 10Letts Record: On Wednesday morning, July 3rd, 1912, at about 9:30 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Nettie E. Coder, wife of C. E. Coder of Letts, aged 49 years and 5 days. Mrs. Coder was the daughter of Milton and Eveline Paullin and was born at Grandview, Iowa, June 28th, 1863. On January 10, 1884, she was united in marriage to C. E. Coder, of Letts. During her life Mrs. Coder always took an active part in social affairs.
At the time of her death she was a member of the Rebekah and Royal Neighbor lodges. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Mr. C. E. Coder and five children, Mrs. Alto E. Rasley, Miss Vinnis A. Coder, Miss Esther M. Coder, Mr. James M. Coder, all of Letts, and Mr. Launy V. Coder, of Kewanee, Illinois. Also her mother, Mrs. T. E. Milbourne, of Grandview and her brother, Mr. J. T. Paullin, of Letts.
Mrs. Coder has been quite ill for several months she was operated on at Bellevue hospital in Muscatine last spring for internal cancer, but the relief was only temporary. The funeral occurred at the M. E. church in Letts, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. T. F. Barker officiating, The remains were laid at rest in the Letts cemetery.
