Mary Adeline Humpton of Burlington died at the home of her son, June 21, 1907, at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 17 days, she having been born March 4, 1841. She was the daughter of Isaac Rhinerson, and Wapello was her birth place. The Rhinersons were among the early settlers in this vicinity and members of the family were prominent in the early history of the county. Her husband died six or eight years ago and was buried in the Wapello cemetery. Four children were born to them, two, Jennie and Frank, died at the age of four or five years. A daughter, Mrs. Eva McIntosh, of Chicago was present at the funeral, also her son Louis R. and wife, of Burlington, where the funeral services were held Monday morning. She was laid to rest beside her husband and other relatives Monday forenoon.
