MARRIAGE PERFORMED AT PRESBYTERIAN MANSE.
The Presbyterian manse on Iowa avenue was the scene of a quiet evening marriage Thursday, when Miss Bertha Werner became the bride of Charles I. Dickinson, with Dr. J. N. Elliott, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. The nuptial event was performed at 7 o'clock and the young couple were attended by Miss Pearle Werner, a sister of the bride, and J. A. Barger.
The bride is the daughter of Christ Werner, one of Louisa county's prominent farmers, but has during the past six years made her home at 1019 Iowa avenue. She is a graduated of the Muscatine business college in the class of '07 and for the past three years had been employed as bookkeeper and stenographer at the U. S. Button Co.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dickinson, of Canisteo, N.Y., and is a graduate of the high school of that city. For the past six years he has made his home in Muscatine and is a young man of excellent habits.
Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson departed this morning for Chicago and various cities in the east on a wedding trip. They expect to go to housekeeping in Hornell, N.Y., after July 1st. The many friends of both the young people extend to them heartiest congratulations on the occasion of their marriage.
