This John Eaton and his wife, Nancy Been, were married in 1846 in Clarion County, Penn. George is the younger brother of Nancy Benn. The father of George and Nancy Benn was also named George Benn. John and Nancy Eaton went from Lee County IA to Benton Co. MO. Their information is on my website at http://linnie.rootsweb.com

Do you have ancestors by the name of John and Nancy Eaton? There is another John Eaton in Benton Co MO at the same time my Eatons were there. One of my John Eaton's brothers was Daniel Eaton. He was also in Benton Co MO at one time before he went to Texas. The mother of John and Daniel Eaton was Abigail, maiden name unknown but believed to be McDonald. She was born in Scotland; date unknown.
