Thanks for your reply, on Edgar Sturgeon what I'm trying to find out is if it shows where he was born. I know he was native american, but we aren't for sure if he was born in Ia. As far as I know he was buried in Lee County. He was probably married to another lady before my grandmother, at one point in time she was his wife, but he died before her and she remarried a Wing. I guess the way I phrased my questions was misleading as far as my grandmother, Wing was her final married name, I think her maiden name was either Singleton or Greene. Not for sure which because her husbands kept dying. I do know at one time she owned a boarding house in Ia. Any information you could find for me would help.
