Additional info on this family was a Maria SCHRUMP and Dietrich NIEMEYER were the parents of Elizabeth Niemeier b. 1856 and Friedrich Niemeier b. 1861. Dietrich died 1862 and may have joined the civil war. Maria remarried a Franz(Frank) Glaubitz and they had Ana Glaubitz b. 1864. Maria died then Frank Glaubitz married a widow Wilhelmina Focht Holtkamp. Looking for verification of all this and whereabouts of the kids in 1870 and where in Germany Dietrich came from. Did he meet Maria here in the US or were they married when they came to the US?
