Searching for information: Joel and Jane Bennett who moved to Iowa about 1824 with children. They are listed in Land Patent Records as having owned 42.94 acres of land in Lee Co., Cedar twp. 69N of Section 30(maybe the NW corner of Section 30) with a PO of Big Mound. The also owned land in Nontrose twp. Listing was: SE section 32 and SW section 33 SW of Summitville as well as 122.98 acres of township 69N and section 30 in Van Buren Co., Iowa.
