Johnston, Jesse- Reece,Marriett were married 9 May 1850 in Lee Co., IA----I would like to know how many children they had. One son, Whitman M. was born 1859 in Montrose, Lee Co., IA and was adopted 1875 in Montrose. Why was he adopted? And I would like to know what happen to the rest of his birth family.
