I have a brick wall I need some help with. William Jackson Phillips was born about 1867 in I believe Hancock County, Illinois he could possibly be the son of Simon Phillips. I posted on the Hancock, IL site also. William married Pearl Gray in 1915. In 1920 they were living in Quincy, he was a minister and missionary. In 1930 they were in Clark county, Missouri, they didn't stay in one place very long. Their children were born in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. They were divorced and Pearl married Robert Hatfield of Scotland County, Missouri. In 1932 William was living in Warsaw, Illinois. He and Pearl were the parents of Mary Ellen, Julia Ann, Gladys, Gwendolyn, Louana, William Simon and David Phillips. Louana died very young. I tried contacting a family member but she did not know anything about this man. On one of the applications for marriage about 1946 Pearl stated that the Phillips childs father was deceased. Can someone out there give me a birth date, death date and burial place for William Andrew Jackson Phillips and the names of his parents and siblings? I tried all the death indexes and court houses in Adams & Hancock County, IL. Scotland County, MO and Lee County, Iowa records. I am in hopes that some family member has some information on him.
