In Response To: Huntley Williams Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa (Pam)

I found this on the web, is this the same family?

Name: Johanna SCHWARTZENBERGER
Sex: F
Birth: 16 APR 1887 in Puslinch, Ont
Death: 1 AUG 1974
ALIA: Jennie
Census: 1901 Guelph, Wellington, Ontario E-15 p. 12

Father: John SCHWARTZENBERGER b: 11 JUL 1844 in Puslinch, Wellington, Ontario
Mother: Johanna DUGGAN b: ABT 1856 in Peel, Wellington, Ontario

Marriage 1 William James ROBERTS b: 19 JAN 1877 in Erin Twp, Ont
Married: 11 FEB 1902 in Guelph, Ont.
Marriage 2 Walter John HUNTLEY
Married: about 1917
Based on research so far it appears that Johanna (Jennie) Schwartzenberger is Ron's grandmother. She seems to have married first to William James Roberts in 1902, and then to a Walter John Huntley around 1917.Walter was an American working for the "Grand Trunk Railroad" that passed through Regina, Sask.
Walter registered for the U.S. draft from the American Consulate in Regina in 1918 at the age of 25 and indicated that he had a one child (Walter John) and wife Jennie living at the time in Ft. Madison, Iowa. In 1920 Jennie married Harry C. Williams of FT. Madison and he adopted Jennie's child also called Walter John. On U.S. census records (1930) Walter John Huntley shows as John Williams, son of Harry C. Williams and Jennie. John Williams (Huntley) married my wife's mother (Colette) in the late thirties in Ft. Madison. John and Collete had two children (Barbara and Ron} and then he and Colette divorced or had the marriage annulled. Subsequently, Colette re-married and my wife is a product of that marriage. John Williams (really Huntley) moved to Madison, Wisconson in the late forties and started another family as well.
