I have found four Goepels in the Military records in Ancestry.com dated about 1866. I am searching Robert GOEPEL. He is listed in the military records along with three other Goepel, Herman Goepel, August Goepel and Gustav Goepel all in Keokuk Iowa. All are listed from Germany and all are Bootmakers. I feel they all were related. I am hoping to make some contact with anyone in that area.
