My Grandfather

I just found my Grandfather's Military Registration form from 1918. It indicates that he "was working for Keokuk Dry Deck". He was born in Burton, IL in 1878 and was a Carpenter. Is there any way I can get any information about that company or about his employment there: how long.. where he lived.. and anything else? I'd appreciate some reply.
