Looking for lost mother Alton

I has done as much research as one can through Ancestry.com. I have much evidence as to the story that 3 brothers and their mother came from Ireland through New Orleans. I know the brother's names (Charles, James, and Matthew Alton). Charles is buried at Oakland Cemetary -Fr. Madison? in 1908. We have never been able to identify the mother that came from Ireland with her sons. My search is to identify her and where she is buried. My guess would be to look into church records, as they were Catholics.Thank you.
