Hello. My family has resided in the Monticello area since the
later 1840s early

1850s. The last name is SHOVER. My
great-great-great-grandfather, Andrew

Shover, came with his wife Sarah from Berk Co. Pennsylvania.
They had two sons

John and Tom. Both Tom and John served in the Civil War, Tom
being captured at

Shiloh and died as a prisoner of war, John lived through the
war and married Mary

J. Miller in December of 1873. He used his pension to buy the
land that the family

still owns and lives on today. I was wondering if you had any
information on where

the family resided (land owned) before the war. I am
interested in where their first

residence was in Monticello. If you have any other
information, I would grately

appreciate it.
