The baby was first interred at the Selkerk party's large common building before they moved to their own designated farm properties. When John and Margaret Sutherland moved to their new home on their land, the infant was disinterred and found to be perfectly preserved. She was moved somewhere on the farm site still existing, of course. I am a direct descendant of their daughter Catherine Sutherland Moses. This was told me by Judith Sutherland Pahncke who has done extensive SUTHERLAND AND some Mcbeth work.
