There is a biography for Merritt Morgan Mott (1844-1910) on this web site. It says he died February 26, 1910. With an accurate date, you should be able to get a death certificate, request transcription of such from the Jones County courthouse, or an obituary that will tell where he was buried.

As for Philander A. Mott, the bio mentioned his age of 88 when he died which would be about 1904 since he was born in December 1816. Again, possibly a lookup in the 1904 deaths and/or obits will tell where he is buried. Since this family was business people in Anamosa and Fairview, then should have obits.
