You might want to check with Sioux County as there is an index showing his name in a history book entitled "Hawarden 1887-1987: One Hundred Years on The Right Track" (page 602). His son Irving Foster Finch (1842-1919) died and is buried at the Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden, Sioux Co., IA. Even if the story is about Irving, possibly it will tell where his father was buried since it mentions him? I noticed the Lake name is also mentioned in that story. The Sioux County Genealogical Society has a copy of this book.

One database shows Marian/Mirium died December 28, 1888 in Alcester, Union Co., SD.

When Holy Cross Cemetery comes online (hopefully soon as well as Oakwood), we will be able to find a lot of our ancestors! Your's may be there being they lived in Fairview proper.
