On Thomas Prestley Pye, Marine recurtment papers it states born in Anamosa, Jones co, Iowa - 5th Mar 1968. Family had reported it as Bristow, Butler, Iowa.
Thomas parents where Edward D. PYE and Jane A. BARNES PYE {daughter of John & Martha BARNES} they had traveled from Rockland co, NY to Iowa with Jane's Mother: Martha BARNES and sibs. Found in 1870 Butler co,Iowa. 1880 most of the PYE children are strun accross Kansas Orphaned. Except Albert PYE, 1880 Anamosa, Jones, Iowa WITH UNCLE John BARNES 30yr NY Undertaker, Clara BARNES Wife 25yr ENG, George BARNES Son 6yr IA, John BARNES Son 3yr IA, Nellie BARNES 9M IA, Abbert PYE Nephew S Male W 15 NY NY NY.
