The references I find for the parents are:

John Calvin Caffee born 1813 in Bowling Green, KY and died 1893 in Fairview, Jones Co., IA. Married 1841 in Iowa City, IA to Eliza Ruth Reed born 1824 in NY and died 1906 in Fairview.

Shows your Thomas Jefferson Caffee born March 31, 1847. I also see him alive in the 1900 census at Rhoda Township, Charles Mix County, SD with wife Harriett L. and children. Shows he was born in Wisconsin and she in Iowa (October 1854).

In the mean time I find my Alta Louise Caffee (1882-1951) who was married to Charles Darsee remarried to a Clifford Shriver (1892-1969) and both are buried at the Norwich Cemetery in Fairview.

I am still seeking Charles Joseph Darsee whos parents were Nepoleon Darsee and Cordelia "Delia" Miner. I know he was still living in Jones County during the 1930 census.

Anyone out there know his whereabouts? He did serve in WWI
