Microfilimed Iowan Newspapers Online

I just found out about this site at the LDS library. The Godfrey Memorial Library has access to many microfilmed Iowan newspapers. I just found my great grandfather's obituary in the 1909 Iowa City Citizen. You have to subscribe, but it's well worth it if you know your ancestor's death date. (The obituaries are not indexed, so you have to scroll through the paper). They also have the 1790,1800,1810,1820 1860,1870, 1890(partial) 1900,1910,1920(partial) censuses,etc. It's best viewed with a high speed internet connection.
