Tom Strabala passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2025.

He was born on June 2, 1961 to Thelma and Glenn Strabala. Raised in Coralville, he graduated from West High School in Iowa City, Iowa in May 1980. Tom married Wendy Tappan on September 23, 1995, and they lived together on their farm.

A former DOT employee, Tom found joy in working for River Products after his retirement. He cherished his time on the farm, planting thousands of trees, and caring for wildlife and their beloved pets over the years.

Tom is survived by his wife Wendy, kitten Gertie, brothers Jim Strabala and Mike (Carol) Strabala, sister in-law Roxanne Strabala, sisters in-law Bonnie Weldon, Becky Tubandt, brother in-law Kevin Tappan, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Thelma Strabala, brother Pat, and sister in-law Dottie.
