Jeanette,
Obituaries were never linked to a WPA listing on the Jefferson County site, but perhaps you're thinking of the cemetery listings where obituaries are linked from.

I find four MATHEWS burials in Roth Cemetery, three in Old Fairfield City Cemetery, and one in Evergreen Cemetery.

Roth Cemetery's listing is a yellow table on a tan background, as is Old Fairfield's. Evergreen's listing is a blue table. You can find Roth's listing here:
