This query board is for Jefferson county, Iowa questions. The family only lived in Fairfield for a very short time when Alta was born. They moved to Indiana and Alta later to California. The Robbins divorce is probably in Indiana and the LaMontagne marriage probably in California or possibly Indiana. There is a query on an Ancestry board from a Barbara Ellison several years ago requesting Alta's obituary. Do you know her? There are query boards in California and Indiana. The divorce and marriage are not going to be in Jefferson County, Iowa.
