So will try it again:
I answered letters for Jefferson Co queries for
33 years and went to the data HERE AT HOME to
gather the following
--1840, 1850, 1856 census, none of these families
are here
---1843 Poll Tax book...lists Joseph FLINT aspaying taxes on $150.00 of personal property &
also R. R. Harper paying taxes on $330.00 of
personal property. Neither one owned land to be
taxed.
---1876 Special Centennial History booklet listsJoseph FLINT, not Flink.
---probate index l840 to 1966....none listed
---gravestones to 1990 ....none listed
---family sheet drawer....none listed
---early death notices in newspapers....l4 Jun1866 grave clothes purchased for William
Harper
Looks like they must heard "go west young man"
and ended up in Nebraska or Oregon.I plan to quit with this as I retired 5 yrs
ago when I turned 80.Good luck and if someone
writes please share it back to our library extensive l0,000 family sheet files... bye now....verda
