Hopefully, I have helped you somewhat; on this family as I do have quite a bit of Wapello County Info. I bought ALL books that were available for Wapello County Iowa quite a few years ago. I was using them to trace my family roots. I could only find for my family a few items that I could use. I decided to help others and kept the books. I was thinking about donating them to the Wapello County Iowa Genealogical Society or the Library at Ottumwa. Maybe I will leave them in my will as nobody ,but I care anything about family info. At least I could find my geat grandfather in Wapello County books. That was great as my dad did know his own grandfathers name as he died 1870-1880 in Ottumwa and my dad was born in 1918. My great grandmother raised 5 surviving children [Bridget died at Lockridge; Jefferson County Iowa 1860 } on her own and never remarried. In census she is listed as having originally 8 children. Other two either died in Jefferson County Iowa or on the way from New York; circa 1857 or possibly died on ship from Ireland {circa 1855}
Please send me the picture so that I can add it to the find a grave site; if that is okay with you.
Mary
