MRS. HOWARD DIES TODAY
Widow Of Prominent Former Resident Succumbs, Winnetka, Ill.

Mrs. E. A. HOWARD, widow of E. A. HOWARD, Burlington Railroad Vice-President and prominent in Chicago and Iowa business circles, passed away at five o'clock this morning at her home in Winnetka, Ill. Word was received here by relatives. Mrs. HOWARD has suffered somewhat from heart trouble.

Surviving her are three sons, all of Winnetka. They are Nat L. HOWARD, chairman of the board of the American Car Co., Hubert E., HOWARD, president of the Binkley Coal Co., and Eugene A. HOWARD, president of the LeGrand Stone Co.

Mary LAMSON HOWARD was born in Fairfield on Oct. 19, 1860. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward LAMSON. A brother and a sister survive, Ralph LAMSON of this city, and Mrs. Walter SLAGLE of Alton. Numerous other relatives also survive. In 1883 she was united in marriage to Elmer A. HOWARD.

Funeral will be held in Fairfield Sunday afternoon, but arrangements are not yet completed.

Funeral Services For Mrs. HOWARD, LAMSON Homestead

Funeral services for Mrs. E. A. HOWARD, former Fairfield resident, who died at her home in Winnetka, Ill. yesterday, will be held in Fairfield tomorrow.

The services will be held at the residence of Ralph W. LAMSON, 501 South Main street, the old LAMSON homestead, and Mrs. HOWARD's girlhood home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The funeral party will reach Fairfield over the Burlington railroad Sunday morning. Services in Winnetka are being held this afternoon.

Attending the funeral services from out-of-town of Mrs. E. A. HOWARD of Winnetka, Ill., that was held on Sunday at the home of her brother Ralph W. LAMSON and Mrs. LAMSON were her sons, Col. N. L. HOWARD and Mrs. HOWARD of Winnetka, Ill., Hubert HOWARD, Mrs. HOWARD and sons Hubert Jr., John and Charles onf Winnetka, Ill., Eugene HOWARD, Mrs. HOWARD and daughter Miss Mary K. HOWARD of Winnetka, Ill., also Mrs. HOWARD's sisters Mrs. C. C. CLARKE and Mr. CLARKE of Burlington and their son Warren CLARKE and Mrs. CLARKE of Burlington and their daughter Miss Margaret CLARKE of Des Moines, Mrs. Walter SLAGLE and Mr. SLAGLE of Alton, Iowa and their daughter Mrs. Paul BEKINS and Mr. BEKINS of Sioux City. Other relatives were Mr. and Mrs. John B. LAMSON of Hinsdale, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Richard HEWITT and daughter of Iowa City and also Mrs. BLAUL of Burlington. ...

... Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Glass of Winnetka, Ill., who attended the funeral services of Mrs. E. A. HOWARD on Sunday were guests over the weekend of Mrs. A. A. Hillman. Mrs. Hillman motored with Mr. and Mrs. Glass to Winnetka today and will be their guests for a few days and will also visit her daughter Mrs. Cooper and husband in Chicago.
