PROF. HOWARD PASSED AWAY
Well Known Resident Conducted A Business Callege (sic) Here for 17 Years

Prof. James Westbrook HOWARD passed away last evening at 5 o'clock after a period of more than a year of failing health. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery.

Prof. HOWARD was born in Ohio and was 75 years old. He came to this city 17 years ago from Colorado and opened a business college which he conducted until about 6 months ago when failing health caused him to close it. He was preceded in death 20 years ago by his wife, when they lived at Muncie, Ind.
