Rites Saturday For Mrs. LONG

Mrs. Louise LONG, 84, a resident of Fairfield and Mt. Plesant for many years, died today at 12:50 a.m. in the Henry County Memorial hospital in Mt. Pleasant. She had been a patient there the past two weeks and was seriously ill for a week.

Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Donald A. Eagle of the First Christian church officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. LONG was born December 22, 1874, at Ancona, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McGILL. Her first husband, Irvin HOOPER, died in 1906. She later married Harry LONG who died in 1923. Mrs. LONG was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors include the following children: Mrs. Elbert LITTLE, Fairfield; Beryl HOOPER, Robert LONG, and Mrs. Ednes FARRINGTON, Palo Alto, Calif.; Victor HOOPER, Jefferson City, Mo.; and Don LONG, Mt. Pleasant.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Burdette McGILL, Streator, Ill.; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel ZEILMAN, Fairfield.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.139, under the LONG surname. First husband Erwin O. HOOPER died July 20, 1906, in Fair Oaks, IN, and was buried there. Second husband Walter Harvey 'Harry' LONG died in 1923, but specific death date and burial place are not known at the time of this posting.
