Sorely Stricken – Wm. Young was recently employed by Mr. H. D. Parsons to look after his Malaka herd of fine cattle, and with his wife and four children arrived about two weeks ago from Strathroy, Canada. Soon after their arrival the mother and their child only three months old, were prostrated with pneumonia. The baby died last Saturday morning and was buried in the Wittemberg cemetery on Sunday, the funeral services taking place at the Parsons home, conducted by S. A. Arnold. The mother, whose condition was intensified by the death of her baby continued to grow worse, and passed away Wednesday morning. Mrs. Young was but 28 years old, was a cultured and refined woman and a member of the M. E. church. She leaves to the care of her bereaved husband, three children, aged respectively six, fur and two years. - Newton Record.
