The funeral of Mrs. W. Paup was held on Thursday from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church of Preston, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. P. Sandrock. Interment was in the Preston cemetery. Dorothea Schroeder Paup was born at Goose Lake, Iowa, October 21, 1896, the daughter of August and Emma Schroeder. She passed away at Spragueville, Iowa, Tuesday, March 6 at the age of 26 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Wm. Paup to which union four children were born who, with their father, survive: Daniel August, Vera Marie, Vivian May and Alfred Lester. There are also the father of the deceased two brothers, August at home and John of Preston and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Peters of Maquoketa and Maggie at home.
