The funeral was held Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue, for Robert S. "Bob" Marshall, 75, of RR 3, Bellevue, who died Friday, April 9, 1993 in his home.

The Rev. Lloyd E. Reuter officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Marshall was born Dec. 14, 1917, in Zwingle, to Thomas and Margaret Duschen Marshall. he married Dorothy G. Mesch Sept. 10, 1940, in Zwingle. The couple farmed near Bellevue and Mr. Marshall also worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa. He was a member of St. Joseph Church where he was a past parish councilman. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, Bellevue Knights of Columbus and the Bellevue Horsemen's Club. He was an avid basketball and baseball player and fan.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe and Jerry, both of Bellevue; three daughters, Ruth Jess of Bellevue, Mrs. Joe (Sally) meyer of Milford, MI, and Mrs. Darlis (Kay) Miller of Spragueville; 18 grandchildren; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother Al of Manchester; and a sister, Agnes Even of Cascade.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a sister and three brothers.
