Mark Floyd Upah, 66, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October, 17, 2024 at Genesis Health Systems, Davenport, IA.

Mark was born October 17, 1958 to Floyd J. and Adeline A. (Kubu) Upah in Marengo, IA. Mark grew up in Chelsea, IA and graduated from South Tama High School. Throughout high school and after, Mark farmed for Phil Fetter. He also worked at Tama Pack before moving to Belle Plaine where he worked DKM Manufacturing and Benco; earning his way to production supervisor. Most recently Mark worked for Frontier until retirement.

Mark enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, cutting wood and yard work. He was a very proud grandpa who loved watching his granddaughters’ activities; she was his everything.

He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Sherman; granddaughter, Shayla Helgeson, both of Marengo; brothers, Ron Upah of Nebraska, Tom (Ellen) Upah of Chelesa; sisters, Loretta McNeely of Oregon, Flossie (Bob) Pippert of Gladbrook; former spouses, Wendy Boyer, Lisa Bevins; step-children, Beau (Britni) Jack, Blake Jack and many more family and friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bev Morris; sister-in-law, Lynn Upah.
