TREASURER.
Mr. O.T. Griswold is a resident of Lincoln township and is one of the most prosperous and influential farmers and stock-raisers in the county. He is a native of Ohio, being born in that state December 7, 1842. In 1851 he came to Powesheik county Iowa, where he remained for twenty years and then moved to his present location. In 1868 he was married to Miss Lucreta Thompson. They have seven children living and two dead. He began business for himself with limited means, but by hard work and good management he has acquired a goodly amount of this world's goods. He now owns and operates a farm of about 500 acres and is successful in all his business undertakings.Mr. Griswold is one of these pleasant and agreeable men which it is always a pleasure to meet, whether in a business or social way. He is honest and upright in his dealings with his fellow men and is just such a man as we should have to handle the money of the people of Iowa county.
We hope that after January 1, 1888, you may have the pleasure of meeting him in the treasurer's office at Marengo, and you will then become better acquainted with him, and you will say that we have not spoken too highly of him.
