SURVEYOR.
Mr. Herbert K. Blasier, of Williamsburgh is the man whom the republicans of this county have placed in nomination for this office. Mr. Blasier was born in York township, Iowa county, Aug. 1, 1859. He is a graduate of our State University, as civil engineer, being a member of the class of 1882. He had charge of the survey of the Iowa City Diagonal railroad to Oskaloosa, and performed his duties satisfactory to his employers. Having studied the business of surveyor and had experience, he is well qualified for the duties of the office.Mr. Blasier is a native of Iowa county, a young man of energy and ability, and is deserving of the support of the voters of his county. He is one of the very few men in our county who has qualified himself for the duties of surveyor. At present he is one of the energetic business men of Williamsburgh being engaged in the jewelry business.
