A New Year’s Package – Mr. and Mrs. Clair Downs of Holstein show off their New Year’s bundle, Trisha Lynn, who weighed in at 7 lb., 13 oz. on Jan. 3 to win the Pioneer Record’s First Baby of the Year contest. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Downs, Holstein, became the winners of the Courier’s First Baby contest when their daughter, Trisha Lynn, was born at 10:15 p.m. Jan. 3. Trisha Lynn, born at Horn Memorial Hospital, weighted 7 pounds, 13 ounces and is the first baby for the Holstein couple. As winners of the contest, Mr. and Mrs. Downs are eligible for several gifts from area businesses.
