Holstein Baby Ida County First Arrival
Timothy Allen Fader, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fader of Holstein, was the 1969 New Year baby for Ida County. Little Timothy was born at 2:09 a.am. Jan 2, in the Horn Memorial Hospital. He weighed in at seven pounds and eight ounces. Dr. Dressler was the attending physician. Timothy’s father is the wrestling coach in the Holstein high school. When the family arrives home with the New Year baby they will be able to celebrate with a welcome home party. One of the prizes given the first baby of the year is a cake from Dreier’s Bakery. A $20.00 savings account will be presented to the newcomer by the Ida County State Bank. Other merchants with gifts for the infant are Pat’s Florist and Décor Shop, Hood’s Pharmacy, Moore Furniture and Bo-Peep Shop.
