Twin Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hartong, Blaine, Arrived Next
The first baby born in Ida County in 1930, according to the investigation made by the Pioneer Record to learn its identity, is Robert Louis Klein, the first born child of Mr. and Mrs. Arbin Klein of sourthwestern Garfield Township, living three miles east of Danbury. This baby was born at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, January 3 and the attending physician was Dr. Leo L. Wilson of Danbury. The child’s paternal grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Klein, where young Mr. and Mrs. Klein are making their home. The parents are citizens of Ida County. The twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hartong of Blaine Township, named LaDonna Ione and Lavon Lois were born at 4:53 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. respectively the same day, Jan. 3. Dr. T. E. Hart of Ida Grove was attending physician. The parents of the prize winning babies are requested to call at the Pioneer Record office to secure their orders on the various merchants for the prizes.
