Yesterday morning at nine o’clock, Nov. 28, 1900, occurred the marriage of Mr. Daniel F. Murphy and Miss Alice McDermott, both of this city, the Rev. Father Kelley officiating. The groom is one of Ida Grove’s popular citizens, and a member of the firm of Murphy & Sons, general blacksmiths. He is a young man of exceptionally good habits, industrious, and well worthy the excellent bride he has secured. Miss Alice is a daughter of Jno. McDermott, of Logan Township, and is an accomplished and estimable young lady, and has been a resident of Ida County many years, in fact since her girlhood. They have already commenced keeping house in a neat little cottage purchased by the groom on Moorehead Avenue, opposite the Williams Park. The hearty congratulations of all their friends are extended and The Pioneer also extends its compliments.
