OBITUARY

Soren Jensen was born near Veile, Denmark, January 39, 1838 and died at Jewell, Wednesday, June 7th, at the advanced age if 73 years. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. He came to this country at the age of 40 years and settled with his parents near Rosendale, later he purchased a farm four miles northwest of Jewell where he lived until about two years ago when he moved to town. He was married to Anna Christina Pederson at Randall in 1890, to which union one child was born, which died in infancy. About two years ago he was stricken with paralysis and had been steadily failing up to the time of his death. The remains were interred in Evergreen Cemetery, Rev. Chr. Falck officiating at the services. His wife and one sister, Mrs. Hans Peterson of Rosendale, survive him.
