ROBERT BONNER DEAD

Robert Bonner, a former Jewell man, died April 18 past at his home in Shoshone, Idaho, after a 14 months lingering sickness of Bright's disease.

Bonner was a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Bonner, formerly of Jewell, and until he left here in 1898, lived at the parental home a mile east of town and worked at his trade as a painter. After going to Idaho he enlisted in the volunteers for service through the Spanish-American war where h served with honor. He was married at Shoshone, Idaho, Jan. 1, 1909. He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Helen Bonner, of Council Bluffs, two brothers, Court and Will, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry McDonald of Jewell, and Ella. He was a cousin of W. D. and N. C. Bonner, of Jewell.

Bonner was born March 30th, 1873, and at the time of his death was 37 years and 19 days of age. The funeral services were conducted by the comrades with whom he served in the war, and his coffin was draped in an American flag.
