George A. Davis [should be George W. Davis] died last Thursday afternoon, and was buried at Saratoga [cemetery in Hamilton County, Iowa] on Saturday, at the age of thirty-six years. Some two years ago he was stricken with with locomotor ataxia, or creeping paralysis. Some months ago he was taken to a sanitarium at Des Moines, but it did not benefit him, and he was brought home on the Tuesday previous to his death. He leaves a wife and two children, a boy [Floyd] of six and a girl [Winifred] of three years.
