Obituary Notice.
Died:--At his residence near Jewell, Iowa, Nov. 17th, 1897, Mr. D. D. Templer aged 59 years, 6 months and 15 days. Mr. Templer was born in Schenectady county, New York May 2nd, 1838. He was married to Nancy Ennis in 1865, of this union there were born two sons and four daughters, his wife, sons and daughters remain to mourn his loss. He moved with his wife to Hardin county, Iowa in 1867, and came to his present home in Hamilton county in 1868. He took a leading part in educational matters in this community. He provided the very best literature for his family. He spent many happy seasons with his family in reading to them Talmage's sermons. He was a good neighbor, and kind husband and father. He suffered patiently with cancer of the stomach for several years never complaining, but working on, that he might provide for his family. He died believing in the Savior of men.
