Grandpa Staples, an old and well known resident of this vicinity died at his home northeast of town last Thursday, and was buried Saturday. Services were held in the afternoon in the M. E. church, Ellsworth, Rev. Artman officiating, and the remains were laid in the family lot in the cemetery north of Ellsworth. The deceased was past 71 years of age, and leaves a large number of children to mourn his departure.
