Virginia Mae Wehrheim, H.L. Nicholas Married; Paine-Pingenot Service.
Hand dated Thursday, Dec 26, 1935.
Two weddings of much interest locally have been solemnized in Webster City since yesterday. This morning at 9 o'clock Miss Virginia Mae Wehrheim and Mr. Howard L. Nichols were married at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock Miss Lora Maureta Paine and Mr. Wilbur J. Pingenot were married at the bride's home.
Miss Wehrheim and Mr. Nichols were married by the Rev. Father W. J. Baxter, who used the single ring service. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wehrheim, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.
The bride wore a very pretty frock of rust colored silk crepe trimmed in white with accessories to match. Her attendant wore a frock of cerise colored crepe.
Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Nichols left on a short wedding trip to Nebraska. Upon their return they will live in Hampton, where they have a furnished apartment.
Mrs. Nichols is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs.V. H. Wehrheim, widely known local residents. She attended the schools here and was graduated from Lincoln high with the class of 1933. Since then she has been at home.
Mr. Nichols is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Nichols, living near this city. He is also a graduate of Lincoln high, being a member of the class of 1933. At present he is salesman for Wear Ever aluminum.
Both young people have a wide acquaintance in Webster City and their many friends will congratulate them and wish them {word cut out} happiness.
